Install an eSIM on Android

Menu names differ between manufacturers and Android versions. The steps below describe stock Android; Samsung and Pixel have their own guides.

QR installation

  1. 1Open Settings → Network & internet.
  2. 2Tap SIMs, then the option to add a SIM or download a SIM instead.
  3. 3Choose to scan a QR code and point the camera at the code from your order.
  4. 4Confirm the download and name the profile.

Manual installation

Use this when you cannot scan the QR code — for example when your order is open on the same phone.

  1. 1Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Download a SIM instead.
  2. 2Choose to enter details manually, if your phone offers it.
  3. 3Enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your order.
  • Install the profile while you have a stable internet connection — usually at home, before you travel.
  • A profile can normally be installed once. Do not delete it from the device unless support asks you to.
  • Switching the profile on does not always start your plan: check the activation policy shown on your order.
  • Enable roaming for the travel profile in the SIM settings once you arrive.
